Ginger Li

Ginger is an experienced lawyer who was previously a partner at a US law firm in Beijing.  She has a wide network of contacts within the legal community and she specialises in recruiting for the in-house market in China and across the Asia-Pacific region.

Ginger Li is a Director and Head of Winchester Search’s China In-House Practice Group. She focuses on in-house counsel placements, identifying talented lawyers and compliance professionals for public and private companies throughout China and across the Asia-Pacific region.  

Ginger is a dual qualified lawyer and she has practiced in both China and Australia.  She was previously the Managing Partner of Chadbourne & Parke’s Beijing office, and she was a Special Counsel at HWL Ebsworth in Melbourne.  She also held senior in-house roles with Peabody Energy and Siemens Ltd in China.

Ginger’s experience working in both private practice and in-house has enabled her to gain a thorough understanding of the skills and experience that lawyers require to be successful in both the China market, and across the Asia Pacific region.  Her prior experience means that she is well qualified to advise her candidates on the career paths open to them within the legal profession.  In addition, she has a wide network of contacts within both the in-house and private practice legal community which enables her to locate strong candidates for her clients.  Ginger previously was a Managing Director at Major Lindsey & Africa where she worked in the firm’s in-house recruiting team.
